Conway Communications has served more than 100 organizations on a broad range of investor relations and strategic communications efforts. Those engagements include day-to-day financial communications and investor relations actions, issues management, financial transactions and corporate special situations, as well as counsel on new developments.
Mary T. Conway, Principal of Conway Communications, founded the firm in 1998 following wide-ranging experience as a consultant and in-house practitioner. Ms. Conway brings more than 25 years of diversified investor relations and strategic communications capabilities to the challenges organizations face in communicating effectively with important stakeholders.
Ms. Conway offers extensive experience in investor relations and financial public relations, as well as corporate communications, and is regarded as a thought leader in the practice. Prior to establishing Conway Communications, she held senior positions at several Boston public relations firms, providing investor relations consulting and overseeing client service and new business development. On the company side, she oversaw executive communications and corporate and marketing public relations. Ms. Conway was a partner at Kekst & Company (now part of Publicis), the premier financial public relations firm, where she worked with domestic and international companies on investor relations and corporate transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions to initial public offerings, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, bankruptcies, proxy fights and reorganizations. She also managed crisis communications – for product recalls, personnel and operational issues, major litigation and other sensitive matters -- for clients.
Ms. Conway holds an A.B. degree cum laude from Dartmouth College. She remains active in Dartmouth affairs, having served as President of her class, Class Newsletter Editor, President of the Class Officers Association and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine and the Committee on Trustees. She was a founding board member of The Vox Clamantis Society, the alumni board supporting the College’s daily newspaper, The Dartmouth (of which she was Executive Editor). She has also served on the Boston Dinner committee for Women of Dartmouth. She is active in The National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), is a member of NIRI’s Senior Roundtable, and served as a director of the local Boston chapter; she has lectured at local meetings as well as at the national conference. She served on the Annual Conference organizing committee for two years and in 2018, she was awarded the Boston Chapter’s “Hall of Fame” designation, recognizing her contributions to the field and her stature among colleagues. As an adjunct professor, Ms. Conway taught Public Relations at Framingham State College, and she had an on-going research appointment at the Harvard Business School. She currently serves as a director of the Dartmouth Educational Association and was previously a director of Health Care Without Walls.
